Floral Jungle in full colour-mixed media

Gwendolyn is just hanging with the flowers. It’s pretty, it’s colourful, and the flowers smell good. The floral jungle is where I’d like to be too.

Gwendolyn. This finished piece is 12×12 inches on canvas board. I particularly like the orange and purple section on the right. I have used Neocolor 2 crayons, gouache, acrylic, watercolour, Posca pens, ink and collage to create my art.
Hilary. Some gold leaf in this one. Hilary is off to the floral festivities in her swing dress and gloves.
Hilary. This is a small 8×8 inch canvas.
Beverley. Another 8×8 inch canvas. Beverley is getting inspiration in the Floral Jungle for her designer clothes she likes to create.

new postcards on my website

Eartha, one of my latest caravans in some neutral tones for a change.
Winona, the combi van, or could it be kombi van, both are listed if you google the spelling. Love palm trees! Pink and olive green are a fav combo of colours.
Wallace, an old caravan but now on a postcard.
Rosey, also an oldie but now available on a postcard.
Hope, gotta love these vibrant colours!
Today I am prepping for my 2nd Junk Journal making class tomorrow at A Place To Create in Arana Hills, Brisbane. Looking forward to spending a few hours with some lovely crafty peeps. Have a great weekend!

March new collection for Uniquely Creative is Full Bloom

Beautiful soft colours in this collection, and the new Urban Grunge Die is really lovely for layering.
I’ve used lots of the collection on this card, the small OXOX mark making stamp is delightful to use in the background for an extra layer of interest. The Vellum Creative Cuts are then adhered to the bottom layer of paper and then the Creative cuts, muslin, the die cut, lace flowers and some ribbon. Adding some laser cut hearts to the top gives a really luscious look to the card.
The little houses were so sweet. These are in the Creative cuts. I coloured them using Uniqolour markers.
A shaker card using the confetti craft sprinkles. I’ve also used the new Embossing folder linked below.

I hope you’ll have a go at creating some of these cards with this gorgeous collection Full Bloom.

February is almost gone and I have neglected my blog…

So I’m just going to post some photos of all the things I have been creating this month.

Just a few sneak pics of some of the layouts I have created for kits at A Place To Create.

Lots of junk journal creating and also a class at A Place To Create on how to create one of these journals.

My new website

This is what I have been working on lately. There’s not alot available for purchase at the moment. Everything takes time to load and sort. I’m still waiting on some stock of my prints and with the post at the moment, that may be a while.

I have been adding things slowly, until I get a feel for how everything works. Creating a website is not for the faint hearted, even though the system does alot for you, theres still alot of learning.

So many choices and so many tiny details that you need to add. One tiny detail took me over an hour this morning to learn how to customise it, but it made me happy once I got there and now I know how to do it.

Since I will be on holiday a bit longer, I will be working on my website adding my scrapbook pages and journals very soon.

I hope you go check it out and look around. Keep in mind its a work in progress!

Let me know if you find any MISTAKES, I can work on correcting them. Thanks for visiting.

A bit of caravan love right here! This is Bronte.

Happy New Year 2022 woohoo!!

Happy New Year for 2022 ! This year is uncertain, but lets hope it’s a good one. I want to try new things with my art. I’m off to a good start as I’m on holidays and have had plenty of time to play with my art supplies. I made a small journal using a bunch of different papers, some just thin drawing paper, some watercolour paper and a few other pieces. I made them into a signature and started painting, just trying out different things, and its been really great!
This is the watercolour set by Prima called Pastel Dreams, so beautiful, just love the pinks in here. I’m loving the Combi van with surf board. Is it Kombi or Combi ?
This one is in a travellers notebook as the other painting was drying, so I have 3 journals going at once, just so I can move on and not wait for paint to dry! I’m very impatient.
This one is a mixed media abstract using Derwent Inktense pencils, watercolour and inks. Love the vivid colours.
This is wet on wet using Dylusion inks, such beautiful colours. when it was dry I used a black Micron pen to create flowers.
Added a little bit of line work to the background. I really enjoyed creating these and will continue to play with new techniques and enjoy my supplies I have.

November already!

Oh my goodness, I haven’t posted on my blog this month and am feeling like the time is just flying by.

Heres whats been happening in my world lately….

I have been creating beautiful journals and getting ready to host a stall at the Artisan Markets on November 28th at A Place To Create- my local scrapbook supplies shop that I love in Arana Hills Brisbane. It is a Sunday from 10am-3pm and will have some awesome creative people there selling their goods.
Some of my caravan prints/postcards/cards / magnets will be available on the day and I will take orders for anything I don’t have with me.
I’ve made some gorgeous handcrafted scrapbook or journal embellishments.
I love using these paperclips in my journals to add an extra pop of colour.
I have some Pre-made scrapbook pages for those of you wanting to get albums ready in a whizz! Just add your photos and journalling!
I have some Limited Edition scrapbook kits with lovely handmade elements included.
These are hand dyed doilies and I have some beautiful colour combos for you to choose from. These can be used in scrapbooking, card making or journalling or even just to decorate a package. The creating continues and I look forward to seeing you there.
