New Collection coming soon

The cooler weather has started here in Australia, and although we live in sunny Queensland, it still gets a bit chilly here.

I have to say I miss using neon PINK but am loving the cool colours here in my new collection. I just am not sure I can create a whole collection without my trademark neon pink in there.

Now the pink you see in this section is actually collaged in and its 70s wallpaper, pink orange and gold and its delightful.
Some gorgeous gold leaf and a bit more of the wallpaper.
Always love to feature a palm, its iconic of Queensland for me.
Hard to capture the gold leaf but when the light hits it, its really pretty.

Busy this weekend with a market on Saturday 6th May 2023 at Eumundi 7am-2pm and a market on Sunday 7th May 2023 at Bulimba -What We Make Design Market 10-2pm, hope to see you there crafty friends. To check details of markets go to my website and tap on the markets tab.

To market to market….

Eumundi market has been fun and I have a few more dates booked there. Come and visit me every 2nd Saturday…next one that I will be attending is 6th of may, then 20th may and 3rd of June.
Here’s my set up yesterday. I change things up each time, trying to find the perfect combination of card and painting display, I have framed prints and unframed. Cards with envelopes and mini prints/ postcards.
I have IXXI displayed on my marquee walls.
My new card packs.
All the mini art prints
This is Sadie and I love the beautiful deep reds.
This is a new piece called Jean, have not printed either of these new ones just yet.
I spent the whole day at Eumundi yesterday so today is for rest, but I have to do a little bit of ordering and I will also paint today. I do a bit of housework and reward myself with doing some painting then a bit of office work and reward myself with painting again 😆 I get a lot done this way. Have a crafty, painty weekend friends.

New art for this month

Have been working on some new art lately. Heres my attempt at NOT USING PINK. However a little neon pink crept in behind the palm trees but its minimal and it makes me happy…THAT IS ALL.

I’ve called this one Bodhi because its a surfer style van and its not very feminine . Bodhi was the name of one of the surfer characters (played by Patrick Swayze) in the 1991 movie Point Break…good movie if you haven’t watched it.

And here’s this months favourite for me, which has been sitting around half done for months, but I’m now happy with it, and have called her Vivienne.
Vivienne was the name of the character in the 1990 movie Pretty Woman played by Julia Roberts and I loved her, she was pretty and smart but rough around the edges just like this piece. It was spelt Vivian but I like the look of double n if you must know lol . Now is it spelt or spelled ….I googled it and either is acceptable apparently.
This is where I will be on Sunday 16th April 10-2pm and I hope if you are in the area, you will pop in and have a look at this fabulous market.

Happy arty crafty weekend friends.

Eumundi Market

My market stall last Saturday at Eumundi was so much fun. Thanks everyone for your support and good vibes you all sent me. I really enjoyed it despite the getting up at 4am eeek.

Heres a few shots of my set up, however I think I will be changing it a little next time.

Sold lots of my mini art cards/postcards.
Heres me in my element….and my stall neighbours were lovely people. It was fun to meet other marketeers and learn the ropes. I have a new respect for how hard they work.
I will hopefully be there this Saturday 8th April for the easter market!

Banner making

Turn old things that are unused into things that can be used.

Upcycling, recycling, renewing, reviving, reusing…I’m all for it.

Recently I went to the markets to do some research on set up, aesthetic etc. One market stall had a beautiful banner strung from the crossbars of the tent and it looked lovely. I came home to make a banner and found some old canvas photo paper in my stash. I have just painted all of the a4 sheets and cut into banner pieces. Im going to string them together and use them for my tent.

These were simple and easy to create. I used a mixture of acrylic paint, Dylusions inks and posca pens.

I made a cardboard template the right size and I got 3 pieces from each a4 sheet.

I love using things up to make something special. This canvas photo paper has been in my stash for over 10 years and I probably would have thrown it out. So this was a great inexpensive decoration for me.

Recycle something and feel good about it.

Happy crafty weekend friends.

Naming my paintings

This is June. It wasn’t painted in June. My aunties name is June, but it doesn’t remind me of her. It’s not really got anything to do with June-the month. Sometimes certain paintings remind me of someone and I will use the name. I love old fashion ladies names and currently use those. I just look at the finished painting and usually a name pops into my head.
Just had this made into an IXXI. This one is actually for when I have a market stall, I want to hang it at the back of the marquee….not sure if this will happen but if I put it on my blog it might hold me accountable and I push myself to follow through with things when I have been vocal about them.
This one is 120cm x 100cm printed on 30 (20cmx20cm) luxury polymer cards. Cost for one this size is $A200.Any of my paintings can be custom sized and printed on IXXI, please contact me for more information.
Some mock ups to see what it looks like on the wall.
Don’t be afraid to make a statement. Go bold with one of my quirky flower jungles.
The bigger they are the more the impact. This ones is not huge but still packs a punch.
Have a crafty weekend friends, paint something!

The Ella

This is one of the big pieces I did last year for my daughter. Its pretty popular, and I have printed it poster size and recently have been requested for IXXI with this. The original was for my eldest daughter Ella, and she now calls it “THE Ella”
Just a few mock ups to see what it looks like in different rooms.
This IXXI is 100 x 160cm printed on 20 cm cards.
This sized IXXI is around $220. It makes a bold statement this large. Or get a poster of it 50cmx70cm $95. Contact me via email or on my website. http://www.yvettefanciulli.com

This is a little pink A- frame board I recently painted to go on my table when I get around to having a market stall….sometime soon.

Stay crafty friends!
