Here’s a cute easter card I made for Remy’s lovely teacher. I wish I had of cut the bunny out of patterned paper now I look at it, I also added some epoxy love hearts and spritzed it with perfect pearls. I seem to take the picture of my work, then work on it a bit more as I see in the photographs that they are not quite finished. But have forgotten to take another photo of the final card and now its gone to its owner! Will make another…Im on holidays for 2 weeks YAYYYYY!!!
Month: March 2017
wild weather
So here in Brisbane the wild weather has closed all the schools for 2 days! Just what a crafter needs, 2 days of rainy wild weather to craft yeehaaa!!!! So I have about 6 projects on the go, here’s one of them, although I took this photo a little prematurely, have added some pale pink vintage ribbon to the spine. Its not for anyone in particular, but I liked the one I made yesterday and decided I’d like one myself…might keep it. Stay safe in the bad weather.
watercolour layout
Finally decided to go with a bunch of different patterned papers and a cute pic of Remy on this watercolour page.
card for a friends friend
watercolour ….
Oh so pretty these colours, corals and peach, pink and rose….loving these colours. A bit of watercolour and a cut file from the cut shoppe…..
Lili aka Frida Kahlo
I love this photo of my middle daughter when she was about 4 years old. Im a huge Frida Kahlo lover and set out to imitate her famous headgear …I really like what I achieved, possibly the colours could have been different, but I went with the red in the photo.
Grid Layout
Here’s a new layout I recently created, using the grid pattern. I like it a lot. I wanted to do black and white photos and use white card stock, but I don’t have any white card stock !!!!! Seriously, I had to change the photo colour to a pale sepia to match the vanilla card stock, and it just went from there. Loving the October Afternoon paper & Amy Tangerine with a pop of yellow.
Simple Stories papers
This layout was looking good until I started hand doodling in black and messed it up. I had to create the strip of paper down the middle to cover it, which I quite liked but also the black flourishes had to go on to cover up where I had white rub on flourishes that blended in too much so I tried to draw over them in black and it looked awful….nothing a good scrapbooker can’t hide with more paper and embellishments!
So Im not completely happy with the end result but it could have been a chuck out!
Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors
Watercolour Wednesday
Playing with watercolours is very therapeutic and I needed some of that this week!
I have a cheap kids set of watercolours and recently purchased a $5.99 set of metallic watercolours from spotlight whilst on sale for 50% off, so they cost me $3…..I did not have high hopes but for $3 I thought I would give them a go. OMG they are beautiful, really creamy and sparkly, you can see I have just put a touch on the red above.
heres a few more colours. These are kids watercolours with a bit of the metallic ontop.
I am very excited to be finally getting myself a set of Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours this week in the mail. I have wanted these for a long time but hard to justify spending so much on a hobby. I’m seriously thinking of getting a bible to journal, maybe just an old book might do. I love the look of watercolour on old text.
I will be sharing my new set of paints on here as soon as I get them 🙂
