I am loving this new set of Kaisercraft stamps, they are awesome. The hello is beautiful and its going to be well used on my cards.
and another one I love the colour combo of navy and pink…
I have used Kaisercraft mainly but the dog is cut from an old piece of Basic Grey.
After recently visiting Airlie Beach and seeing the cyclone damage from Cyclone Debbie, I had to document it. Just this one photo stood out from my others.
I have used mostly Kaisercrafts Indigo skies collection. October Afternoon letters, some Shimelle and Basic Grey.
and some close ups…
and of course a card from the scraps..
I try and do a little bit of craft every day, it helps me relax in the evening and its good for the soul. I wanted a pretty card for my friend, and this is just the one.I used the mini paper pad from Pink Paisley Take Me Away collection aqua doylie and black rub on are old stash, the flower is cut on the silhouette cameo and some vintage trim from my sister.
Already Thursday and the work week is going by fast. I have noticed it is definitely getting cooler in Queensland. Good scrapbooking weather!
Ok …so I had a lot of magnets on my fridge that I have received in the mail, mostly advertising, they are a bit dated and I thought they needed a makeover. I tore off the plastic outer cover and recovered them with something a bit prettier….
A little bit of patterned paper and a few embellishments and they look great on my fridge now. It only took about 15 minutes to do.
One of my favourite things to do when I need a craft fix is to make a card. Sometimes I make one in 15 minutes and sometimes it takes 2 hours. It depends on a lot of things. Is it for someone? Is it for an occasion? Is it just for my card stash? Do I want to use a particular paper? Vintage? Modern? I can keep going lol. But usually I get an idea in my head, and run with it. Inspiration is everywhere for me. A patterned paper. One of my daughters, fabric, something on tv, the garden, some particular colour combination…pinterest, Oh my goodness Im ranting.
Anyway today I cleaned up (not out…up) my patterned paper. Well some of it. Sorting it was therapeutic and I enjoyed it a lot! I found a few snippets of beloved paper and put them aside. It was on my desk and I pulled a few bits of ribbon out of a drawer to match and off I went…only took a few minutes. Reasonable result for minimal time. This doesn’t always happen! I have sat and looked at my snippets of paper and trims for hours and still not come up with a gem. I guess it depends on your mood too.
Those are the bits I had out, but added another patterned paper, gold sequins and an epoxy rose.
Its just in my card stash at the moment but I do need some birthday cards soon.
Using up the scraps after making a layout is a great way to have a good card stash and also uses up all the bits left over and its already matching. I love these little houses, a print and cut file on Silhouette Cameo.
This layout was made especially to showcase my Mum’s lovely hand drawings and painting. She is a bit quirky like me and dabbled in all sorts of crafts. She loved doing little drawings of funny things and painted on calico. Not much you can do with these little treasures except frame them, so that is what I did. I used some Amy Tangerine patterned paper to brighten things up. The frames were cut on my Silhouette Cameo, it was a Totally Jamie cut file and I used a piece of cream card stock I had previously sprayed with different colours of Dylusions and Heidi Swapp Colorshine. A cut file from The Cut Shoppe was used to cut the black title on my Silhouette Cameo. I used the left over card stock to make flags and do some journalling on. A quick hand drawn border in black to finish it off.
I love the colours on the Jot Magazine Mood Board this month so thought I’d play along. Have been wanting to scrap this photo of the beach shack we stayed at while on holidays and the tone of the photos seemed like a good match for these colours. I took the photo in the early hours of the morning as we were leaving to travel home.
I found the fabric house in my stash which I bought years ago from a scrapbook shop that doesn’t exist anymore. I need to use up old supplies, so I have been making an effort lately to mix old and new. I love getting new supplies as they inspire you immediately but I love to take the challenge of using my old supplies too.
Some Heidi Swapp gold Colorshine 🙂 Shimelle yellow house die cut. The gold title is American Crafts Thickers.
American Crafts paper, Amy Tangerine love die cut.
Vintage trims and gold scrap from a garage sale in Victoria, compliments my sister.
For Ella’s 14th birthday, she wanted to go and see Beauty and the Beast. So off we went to the cinema. I have never seen the Disney version and was really excited to go. It was absolutely fabulous, I loved it, and so did all the girls. I had to have photos taken at the cinema in front of the little set up they had. Katie, Lili, Ella and Remy. The placement of the characters was accidental, but worked a treat in my photo.
I wanted to scrap this photo in colour. I struggled with papers and decided to go through my old scraps …found a few oldies but goodies. Kraft seemed to be a good choice. I added a whole bunch of die cuts, and those gorgeous glittery pale gold Dear Lizzy letters.
Favourite movie now! I even went and bought the Disney animated version and I love it too! But the new one is my favourite.
