I love the colours on the Jot Magazine Mood Board this month so thought I’d play along. Have been wanting to scrap this photo of the beach shack we stayed at while on holidays and the tone of the photos seemed like a good match for these colours. I took the photo in the early hours of the morning as we were leaving to travel home.
I found the fabric house in my stash which I bought years ago from a scrapbook shop that doesn’t exist anymore. I need to use up old supplies, so I have been making an effort lately to mix old and new. I love getting new supplies as they inspire you immediately but I love to take the challenge of using my old supplies too.
Some Heidi Swapp gold Colorshine 🙂 Shimelle yellow house die cut. The gold title is American Crafts Thickers.
American Crafts paper, Amy Tangerine love die cut.
Vintage trims and gold scrap from a garage sale in Victoria, compliments my sister.
For Ella’s 14th birthday, she wanted to go and see Beauty and the Beast. So off we went to the cinema. I have never seen the Disney version and was really excited to go. It was absolutely fabulous, I loved it, and so did all the girls. I had to have photos taken at the cinema in front of the little set up they had. Katie, Lili, Ella and Remy. The placement of the characters was accidental, but worked a treat in my photo.
I wanted to scrap this photo in colour. I struggled with papers and decided to go through my old scraps …found a few oldies but goodies. Kraft seemed to be a good choice. I added a whole bunch of die cuts, and those gorgeous glittery pale gold Dear Lizzy letters.
Favourite movie now! I even went and bought the Disney animated version and I love it too! But the new one is my favourite.
So Lili was getting jealous because I keep scrapbooking photos of Ella and Remy…apparently, so I wanted to do one of Lili today. She is beautiful and I wanted the title big and bold. I cut the letters out using my silhouette cameo and a great cut file from the cut shoppe called The out of line alpha. I love it. I used Kaisercrafts Finders Keepers papers which is a bit old but I liked the bright yellow and florals. I used bits of patterned paper to fill the voids in each letter for the title. A bit of fussy cutting and some Heidi Swapp gold colorshine , a few October Afternoon epoxy dots and hearts and some lunch wrap under the photo. Yellow spotty wash tape, orange spotty wash tape and a fox from a pack of die cuts from Dear Lizzy.
Loving the tropical feel of this collection. I need some more, its also a little vintage and I really love that. I tried a little watercolour under the photo layer. I bought the leaf die about a week ago and love it. Its the perfect size for cards too. I painted some white card stock with watercolour paints and then cut out extra leaves to add some extra pink and white into the mix. I also added some white twiggy bits I cut out on my silhouette cameo.
I have machine stitched around the edges of the patterned paper and also the card stock for added interest.
A reasonable photo of the girls and I, taken as we were walking out the door to see Beauty and the Beast at the cinema. What a beautiful movie. I like the softness of this layout, there is vintage lace with mini embroidered roses on the left from my sister, she always finds the best vintage stuff for me, she lives in Bendigo Victoria and goes to garage sales to source craft stuff. I benefit a lot!
The vellum with mini gold hearts on it is beautiful, and American Crafts paper on the right that I have hand painted. I machine stitched around the edges twice in grey cotton. Theres some old and new on this layout but I think it works well.
