rainy day layout

Its been raining all weekend, so doing some scrapbooking was the answer, I actually completed 3 project life pages this week and 2 layouts!

Using some pretty Maggie Holmes paper again, this is from the Styleboard collection. It seemed to match Lili’s costume and the ticket office diecut was too cute to not include!

The diecut is from the carousel collection.

The large stars are actually a rose gold colour and were from some vintage ephemera I had. I added a layer of plain lunch wrap behind the photo to soften the patterned paper a little.

I need to catch up on my documenting and I have sorted my recent photos into order to scrap, this has really helped me move along. I was stagnant for a while and couldn’t get a page together. I had way too many photos and I was overwhelmed. So I got them in order and decided to use the little ones in project life, also there were lots of photos of the same subject and I didn’t want to scarp all of them, but I also didn’t want to leave any out! I’m happy I have used all of them…well most of them, the spares or doubles I have kept to send to family members.

I recently purchased some gorgeous paper from the Maggie Holmes – Crate Paper -Flourish range. I just used a few little pieces on this layout, together with a few other crate paper samples and Simple Stories paper. Sewn around the edges and just a few embellishments to finish it off. I love the colours and the simple squares of patterned paper.

It was a hot weekend so I stayed in air-conditioned comfort most of the weekend and tonight we had a good thunderstorm to cool it down!
