Remy finished Primary school last week. All the year 6 students had a dinner at the lake hotel and dressed up for it. I like this photo of her and I, too bad the shadow was on our faces, but she looked so adorable. I started using a hot glue gun to stick my scrapbooking pages together recently as I hate things falling off and this is a surefire way to stop that from happening. Unfortunately once its on with hot glue, its pretty much staying on there.
I used gesso on the base of white cardstock, then texture paste with a stencil, some watercolour paint, and a lot of drying time in-between. This is one of my absolute fav pieces of patterned paper by Crate Paper. I fussy cut it and used foam under for some dimension. The small dot background is from Heidi Swapp. Pink lettering is Dear Lizzy.
Live and learn with every layout. I wanted to cover some people in the photo background and thought photo corners would do the job….I stuck them down too quickly with hot glue and the photo warped a little and it was already not straight, and then I didn’t like the photo corners, but it was DONE!
- Be sure before you hot glue it!!!
- Take care of your photo.
- Use gesso all the way to the edge.
- Photoshop the photo before you print it to remove unwanted things.
I’m still happy with my final layout.
