I did this layout a few months ago. It was a bit of a trial using gelato markers.

I used a bunch of different papers for the 2inch squares and added a few embellishments to each of them. I used the gelato’s to colour the background, then gave them a swipe with water and a fat paintbrush, splattered a bit of excess paint and layered the paper squares on top.

Some black ink drips (Liquitex acrylic ink) to finish it off. Really annoying when the ink drips right onto your journalling 😦 but I got the effect I was looking for.
