I recently got a pack of the new UNIQOLOUR MARKERS from Uniquely Creative and made some colour swatches for them. They were so pretty I cut them up to use on this layout. I did a pale pink wash on white card stock first using the pink marker scribbled on a palette with lots of water and a big brush. Then using the flowing dots stencil from Uniquely Creative and a sponge with a darker pink marker I made a few dots. I placed a foam square under each swatch and placed them in rows. I added some wooden elements that I had coloured with Oxide Ink on some of the swatches. Added a border to each with a black sharpie pen.A few floral ephemera pieces from Bloom Street collection by Paige Taylor Evans to finish it off.
I recently hosted a class at our local scrapbook shop and this is the layout I actually demonstrated in class. It was hurriedly dabbed with paint and then stamped randomly to demonstrate the technique of using dylusion sprays as paint. I bought it home and put it aside.I had a bunch of die cut white feathers which I painted with more dylusions ink. I put this layout together quickly with what I had on my desk, some Bloom Street embellishments from Pink Paislee. Iam NOT a fan of purple, however it has been creeping into my scrapbooking lately and these vibrant colours are making me happy. This is what I had to start with.Painting the feathers with dylusions ink.And a card with the scraps.
March kit is gorgeous Tropical Dreams. The add on dies are bubbles texture die and tropical coral die. The creative cuts are a great mix of floral and nautical elements. In the background I’ve used the net stencil with watercolour paint on a sponge, then the mark making stamp that come in the kit with and the bubbles texture die using white card stock.Loved using the dies, especially the coral dies which I painted with watercolour for this layout. A bit of guaze and some sequins and navy rhinestones which come in the kit too make this seascape.
