My poor blog has been a little neglected now I’m back at work, so here’s a post of Aprils Winter Rose layouts for Uniquely Creative.
Nothing more satisfying than tearing strips of paper and layering them together. Makes an easy layout and a textured interesting effect. It’s hard to photograph gold on your layouts. The lanterns above are die cut from rose gold card.I’ve hand painted the flowers with watercolour. It’s very relaxing and rewarding to paint and fussy cut, and makes your layout unique. The gold is showing up nicely in this photo. This is my favourite layout for this month. I love the Kraft background and the hand painted flowers. A simple layout with some background stamping and a few creative cuts (banners) and laser cut pieces. All of the flowers are arranged with adhesive foam on the back, it gives you lots of dimension.I love to create a few layouts with multiple photos for those that like to scrap lots of pics. I print them out using software called My Image Garden that came with my Canon printer. It lets me print 2 photos to a 6×4 and I love this size for multiple photo layouts. This was a great background page and I hardly had to add anything on to make it look full and interesting just a few layers of different papers behind the photos and a little bit of embellishing.Another multiple photo layout in a grid design. Not a lot of work but still effective with some nice fussy cut pieces. This one just using the scraps of leftover paper, tearing and machine stitching in lines. Add a fussy cut bouquet and title, and it’s done. I have also added a few paint splatters.
