Stella & Ollie Layout share

Dog photograph credits go to my friend Sharon from A Place To Create Scrapbook shop. These two gorgeous puppies visit the shop regularly and are the sweetest. I don’t have a dog, so this was a fun layout for me. However, I could have used any photo on this versatile layout. ( BUT the dogs do look cute lol) I started with Kraft cardstock…my fav and used Alexander RENKE paper. Its so beautiful, I didn’t want to cover it.
Ive also used a Celebr8 mat board and some Vicki Boutin wash tape. Olive seam binding ribbon, gold pearls from Uniquely Creative and a doily cut in half make this a simple but interesting layout. Ive also added a leaf die cut from Kraft.
I toyed with the idea of another mat in Aqua to back the whole layout but decided I like it without. What do you think? Aqua, or No? This layout will soon be a kit at A Place To Create – Arana Hills.

Have a great Sunday, its February tomorrow…oh my goodness!

2020 Double Layout

January is almost over and I’m back at work this week! Summer is always fun over the Christmas Holidays but its time to get back to the grindstone. Here’s a recent layout I created using lots (24) mini photos to document the highlights of 2020.
I used some Paige Taylor Evans papers and watercolour cardstock to create the brightly coloured background.

I cut the 2020 out using my Silhouette Cameo. The flowers were fussy cut from patterned papers.

I used Picasa to create a collage and print the small photos, I fit 6 photos on a 6″x4″ photo and printed them myself.

I used Distress Oxide inks and lots of water for the colourful painty background. I typed my journalling and printed it on A4 card, then cut it into small strips.

I hope you are having a crafty week. This layout will soon be kitted and available to purchase at A Place To Create.

Kraft cardstock has always been a favourite!

One of the photos I took of my daughters formal, which is very lovely and called for some pretty things. I decided on Kraft as my base as I thought it gave an instant pop when I put the photo on it. I usually use white but it didn’t give me the depth of colour I wanted. Straight onto red cardstock was too much red.

I added black acrylic paint and then red Nuvo mousse with a doily stencil. Its shiny and pretty. I also have a rose cut file tucked into the side there.
Some tags and hearts, a small paint swatch and some collage paper kept it reasonably minimal. I machine stitched it onto the red card to add extra detail. It has lots of lovely texture, which I like.
Heres some fun tags I made using Vicki Boutins Storyteller Collection. Kraft cut into tags, stamped with black text, fussy cut birds and leaves.
I added a rectangle of patterned paper to the top, folded over and punched a hole. Then added some jute twine. Ive also added some machine stitching on these for the detail.

Hope you give these Kraft projects a go, it really is a fabulous base for lots of things. I have some more ideas with Kraft that Im working on now, so will share them next time.

Stay safe and healthy in the New Year.

Serendipity Collection by Uniquely Creative

Happy New Year everyone!
Heres a recent layout of my 3 daughters on Christmas Day 2020. This is the new collection for January 2021 from Uniquely Creative called Serendipity. Its very pretty and I love the stencil which I have used with oxide inks on the edges of this layout.

Some close ups to see just how pretty this collection is.

This collection is now available and my local A Place To Create. They have a good stash of it in store now.
